Specialty Coffee on the French Riviera
Good Mate Antibes opened at the end of December 2023, right in the heart of the old town of Antibes.
Its founder, Mathieu, a local inspired by coffee culture during his travels, wanted to bring his passion for specialty coffee here, to his home, on the French Riviera.
At Good Mate Coffee, every cup tells a story—of craftsmanship, quality, and friendliness. More than just a café, it’s a meeting place for coffee lovers, a space where flavors fully express themselves, and where every sip is an experience.
We pay close attention to every cup, selecting the best beans and using precise brewing techniques to bring out all their flavors. Whether you’re a specialty coffee enthusiast or a newcomer, our team is here to guide you.
We work closely with our friend Jean-François Torre, roaster at “Cafés Indien” in Nice. Together, we’ve created a signature coffee blend that you’ll find exclusively here with us.
In Australia, a “good mate” refers to a trusted friend, always there to share a good time. This is exactly what we wanted to convey through our brand: a place where we come together over excellent coffee, in a warm and authentic atmosphere.

In April 2025, the family will grow: Good Mate Cannes will open its doors on Rue Hoche, in the heart of the city.
Because our concept is centered around people, it’s in partnership with Boris, a friend Mathieu met in Nouméa, that he will embark on this adventure.
